It says that tinnitus is not itself a disease but a symptom resulting from a range of underlying causes, I bet you will be able to figure out what is going on and soon will be able to rid yourself of the symptoms before you do and up in the loony bin. good luck!</div>

    <div class="content">Hi

I sympathise with your situation, as I have a condition that has a similar effect as tinnitus. Unfortunately there isn't a cure for either yours or mine. I have managed to significantly improve mine though.

As someone else has said, tinnitus is actually a symptom of something else, not a condition itself. But don't worry, it's extremely rare that it is a symptom of anything serious.

As I've said, there are no cures, but there are things that can help (be careful with prescription or over the counter drugs - some of these can actually make it worse). There are techniques that can significantly reduce the ringing in the ears. I'm not medically qualified (!) so I'm not going to recommend a specific method I'm afraid, but there are a lot around on the internet. Just be careful, and never actually put anything in your ear. Good luck.</div>
